Thrill-seeking Ethan Hunter lives for his next adventure. When a misunderstanding causes his ailing grandmother to think he and new-in-town Gabby Winters are falling in love, they play along rather than break his Gram’s heart. But Ethan will soon discover that falling in love is the biggest adrenaline rush of all.

Psst…did I mention he’s a former Olympic gold medalist? :)

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year, everyone! Wishing you all a wonderful 2017 full of love and happiness (and of course, books!) :)

Holiday Recipe: Oreo Truffles

I love desserts, especially pretty and festive holiday desserts! My mother-in-law introduced me to Oreo Truffles. She makes them every year for the holidays and other special occasions. They’re so pretty, so easy to make, so YUMMY, and so versatile – you can dress them up different ways to suit almost any occasion. And, since I’m making a batch today for a few holiday parties this week, I thought I’d share the recipe with you.

1 package Oreos (regular, not Double Stuff)
1 8oz package of cream cheese, softened
16 oz candy melts (your choice of color – I prefer plain white or melted baking chocolate)

  1. Place wax paper over a cookie sheet and set aside.
  2. Open the package of Oreos and dump the whole thing into your food processor. Pulse until finely crushed. (if you don’t have a food processor, you can put your Oreos in a large ziploc bag and pound them into submission – yes I’ve done this!) :)
  3. Place the crushed Oreos in a bowl and mix together with the cream cheese until it’s fully combined.
  4. Shape the mixture into 1″ balls. Place each ball on the cookie sheet. When the balls are complete, put the cookie sheet in the freezer for 10 minutes to harden.
  5. While your truffles are in the freezer, melt your candy melts according to the directions on the package.
  6. Dip each Oreo ball into the melted candy coating (I found the little sticks used for toasting marshmallows worked well for this) then place it back on the cookie sheet.
  7. Garnish with crushed Oreos, festive sprinkles, crushed candy cane, or leave as is. Your options are endless – plenty of room to personalize these! :)
  8. Store your Oreo truffles in a resealable bag or container in the refrigerator until it’s time to eat them.
  9. ENJOY! :)

Tip: You could also add a few drops of peppermint extract to your Oreo mix for special holiday twist, or use peppermint Oreos in the recipe.

Happy Friday!

Happy Friday, everyone! Wishing you all a wonderful weekend! :)

Signing at Turn the Page Bookstore!

If you follow me on social media, you may have already seen a few pictures from my trip to Boonsboro. In short: it was AMAZING. Everything I was hoping for, and then some! Let’s start with the inn. Hubs and I stayed in the Elizabeth & Darcy room. It was sooo nice! They had the P&P book and DVDs in the room for us, which I thought was a fun and adorable touch. Also, this was waiting for me in our room:

That totally made my day! Oh, and then I found this in the guestbook on our desk…

So cool! I can’t say enough great things about the Inn Boonsboro and its staff. If you ever get the chance to stay there, do it! You won’t regret a single penny :) On Saturday morning, I sat out on the balcony of the inn and watched the crowd line up for the signing – eep!

During the signing, I shared a table with the lovely Jade Lee (aka Kathy Lyons). I could sit next to her all day and never stop smiling! She was so much fun!

The signing was just awesome. We signed for almost five hours, and it didn’t even feel long. The staff at the book store kept things running so smoothly, and we had a steady stream of happy, enthusiastic romance fans. The energy in that store was amazing the whole time! I was sad when it was over.

I’m so honored to have been a part of this event. Just visiting Turn the Page Bookstore was on my bucket list. Signing there? It is one of those “pinch me” moments, definitely a career highlight! :) And to make it even more special? Two of my awesome author friends, April Hunt and Tif Marcelo, came out to the event to see me, and we got to have dinner together afterward. A perfect way to end a perfect day! :)

Bucket Lists! Do You Have One?

If you’ve read RUN TO YOU already, you may know that one of the themes in the book is Ethan helping his beloved grandmother to finish all the items on her bucket list before she dies. Ethan’s Gram is one spunky lady, and I totally fell in love with them both while I was writing this book.

“I’ve saved the best item on my bucket list for last,” Gram said, her blue eyes sparkling. “I can’t wait. I want to ride the whole zip-line course, all five lines.”

Yep, 70-year-old Dixie couldn’t wait to ride the zip-line her grandson built. Which got me thinking about my own bucket list. I had one a long, long time ago, back before I’d ever heard the term “bucket list.” My list was called “Things to do before I die,” and the #1 item on that list was to publish a book. Check! :) But I lost my list somewhere over the years so I let Dixie inspire me to create a new one. This one is more casual – and visual – making use of my love of Pinterest. It looks a little something like this:

You can check out the full list here. So then naturally, I had to make a list of completed bucket list items. Because what’s the fun of having a list if you can’t check things off? :) Here’s a sample from the completed list:

You can see my other completed items here. (and yes, I’m an extra in the movie Music of the Heart starring Meryl Streep! That is a super fun story for another day.) :) I’m a visual person, and I love seeing all my goals laid out for me on Pinterest. And it’s motivating me to check more things off! Plus, it turns out other people have already made cool graphics for just about everything I wanted – ha!

Now, I want to know about you. Do you have a bucket list? Care to share something that’s on it, or something that you’ve already checked off?
