Romance Unleashed

I’ll be honest – I’m a sucker for a book with a dog on the cover! I love romance, and I love dogs, so if there’s an adorable canine sidekick that helps the couple fall in love, then it’s already halfway to becoming one of my favorites. In honor of Unleashed’s upcoming release, I’m working on a list of romances any dog-lover should read:

Finding Mr. Right by Emily Carmichael

Must Love Dogs by Claire Cook

Anyone But You by Jennifer Crusie

The Accidental Demon Slayer by Angie Fox

Against the Cage by Sidney Halston

Carolina Man by Virginia Kantra

Paw Enforcement by Diane Kelly

Unleashed by Rachel Lacey

Shelter Me by Catherine Mann

The Other Side of Us by Sarah Mayberry

The Search by Nora Roberts

Animal Attraction (and the whole Animal Magnetism series) by Jill Shalvis

Dog Days by Elsa Watson

Do you know a great romance with a doggy sidekick that isn’t on my list? Reply in the comments! I’d love to add it. Happy reading, dog lovers! :)

  1. Scarlettleigh says:

Older book but hilarious — Finding Mr. Right by Emily Carmichael. Just as Funny is Elsa Watson’ Dog Days and she has several other stories. Sarah Mayberry had a cute story with dogs with The Other Side of Us. David Rosenfelt writes wonderful mysteries and there is a love interest starting more with his second book and he also has his own rescue group. I loved Suspect by Robert Crais. There is a hint of romance there too.

  2. Thanks so much for the recommendations! I just added them to my list! :)

  3. Love romance and dogs!! Just adding a link to your books and list on our list ( Can’t wait to read your books!

  4. Thanks so much for the link, Talent Hounds! Love your website! :)

  5. Kristan higgins books have dogs in them most of the, but my favorite is kristan ‘s book The Best Man.

  6. Thanks Emily! I’ve heard great things about The Best Man – it is high on my to-read list! :)

  7. I know this is four years past, but I couldn’t help but recommend The Dog That Danced by Susan Wilson and Atticus by Sawyer Bennet (a woman).
