Meet Run to You’s Ethan Hunter

Run to You coverRun to You is set in the fictional town of Haven, located in North Carolina’s Smoky Mountains and is the first full-length book in my new Risking It All series. In this series, you’ll meet three thrill-seeking former foster brothers who’ve joined forces to open an extreme outdoor adventure facility. These guys live for their next adventure, but they’ll discover that falling in love is the biggest adrenaline rush of all.

I absolutely can’t wait to introduce you to Run to You’s leading man, Ethan Hunter. Charming and adventurous, Ethan has dated more than his fair share of pretty ladies in town. With his tousled blond hair, blue eyes, and washboard abs, there’s no shortage of women wanting to call themselves Mrs. Hunter, but Ethan never lets his relationships get serious. Behind his easygoing facade, painful scars from his childhood have kept this bad boy with a soft heart from settling down.

Swimming flyFun fact: Eight years ago, Ethan won two gold medals and one silver as a swimmer in the Beijing Olympics. I will definitely be thinking of him when I watch the swimmers compete in Rio this August! Ethan still swims laps every morning, a practice ingrained in him from his years of Olympic training, and coaches the local high school swim team.

Ethan has also built an epic zip-line course for his new outdoor adventure business, Off-the-Grid Adventures, and he couldn’t be more excited about it. But tragic news from his beloved grandmother and an unexpected run-in with new-in-town Gabby Winters soon turn his life upside down…

#TeaserTuesday, July 4th Style! :)

It’s a little early to be sharing teasers from RUN TO YOU, but I couldn’t resist sharing this one (actually, I meant to share it yesterday) :) Happy (Belated) 4th of July! RUN TO YOU hits shelves on August 30th.

Run to You teaser 1

Are You Ready to Risk It All?

The Mountains are Calling...

I have a new series coming in August, and I can’t wait to introduce you to the sexy, adventurous heroes and kick-butt heroines of Haven, North Carolina. The series is called Risking It All, and it opens with a hot little novella called Rock with You. I confess…the mountains have been calling my name a lot lately, and I was thrilled to set this series in the Smoky Mountains. You’ll see why in a minute 😉

shutterstock_134985203 - smallFirst off, you’ll meet rock star Sam Weiss. Fresh from a tabloid scandal, his manager ships him off to a secluded cabin in the mountains to stay out of the headlines until he’s written his next big hit. Throw in an unexpected ice storm and a spunky bakery owner, and Sam’s found his muse again, but can he leave her behind to return to his life in LA?

Next up are three thrill-seeking former foster brothers who’ve joined forces to open an extreme outdoor adventure facility. Yeah, we’re talking zip-lining, rock climbing, outdoor survival skills, and the like. These guys live for their next adventure, but they’re about to discover that falling in love is the biggest adrenaline rush of all.

Ryan Blake is up next in Crazy for You. Ryan’s got the tats, the bike, and the reputation to go with them, but trust me, this semi-reformed bad boy’s got a heart of gold.

shutterstock_106243226 - small - croppedMark Dalton has to wait the longest for his HEA (but I promise it’ll be worth the wait) in book 3, Can’t Forget You. Mark is Mr. Tall, Dark, and Handsome and a man of few words. A scar slashing his right cheek is the only visible reminder of the accident that ended his career in the Army’s Special Forces, but there are others, scars that run much deeper, all the way to his heart.

I am crazy in love with all four of these guys, and over the next few weeks I’m going to do a series of blog posts introducing them to you in more detail. In the meantime, I hope you enjoyed this sneak peek! :)

By now, you may have heard me talking about the new series I have coming this summer from Grand Central Publishing. There will be an introductory novella (on Aug 2nd), but the first full-length book comes out on August 30th. It’s called Run to You, and I am so very excited for you all to read it! The hero, Ethan Hunter, is a former Olympic champion swimmer, and coincidentally (or not *wink wink*), the book comes out right after the summer Olympics. I’ll have more info for you guys this summer about the book and the series, but for now, enjoy . . .

Run to You cover

Moments after meeting the most gorgeous guy ever, Gabby Winters promptly gets stung by a zillion yellowjackets and falls-not gracefully-into a stream. Yup, Ethan Hunter is trouble with a capital “hot,” and Gabby definitely needs to keep her distance. Except in the small town of Haven, there’s nowhere to hide from Ethan’s sexy, infectious grin . . . and all the residents are conspiring against her.

At the center of the town’s matchmaking is Ethan’s grandmother, who’s convinced their relationship is a done deal. Rather than break her heart, Gabby and Ethan find themselves cornered into pretending to be falling in love. The problem: there’s serious sizzling attraction between them. And if this charade continues, they won’t fool just the entire town – they might fool themselves too . . .

New books, music videos, and a mountain haven – oh yes! :)

You might have heard that I have a new series coming out next summer. It’s called Risking it All, and it follows three semi-reformed bad boys who met as kids in the foster care system and reunite as adults to open an extreme outdoor adventure business in the small mountain town of Haven, North Carolina. I’m so excited about it! And while the books are still pretty far away, I’m going to be seeing two of the talented ladies mentioned below this weekend, so it seemed the perfect time to share titles and release dates with you all.

So here’s where this post gets funny (for me, at least!) :) Back in July, my editor asked me to start thinking about titles for the series and said they were looking for song titles as book titles for this one. Yeah, she was definitely thinking about classic songs a la Jill Shalvis’s Lucky Harbor series. I don’t think she was expecting the list she got from me including everything from Aerosmith to Madonna – ha!! :) And after a little back and forth, we ended up with a series that I am absolutely thrilled with. So I present to you…

Run to You – Risking it All book 1, August 30, 2016

Did you all love The Bodyguard as much as I did? I was a huge Whitney Houston fan, and I had this album on constant replay back in high school (what, did I just date myself?!). Seeing Whitney now makes me sad, but this book has its share of heartbreak as well. Once you’ve read it, you’ll understand why this title is so perfect. I can’t wait to share Ethan and Gabby’s story with you, and I hope to have much more information on this one for you soon!

Crazy For You – Risking it All book 2, February 28, 2017

Oh yeah, I’m a huge Madonna fan. In fact, I’m seeing her in concert for the umpteenth time this weekend in Atlantic City, and I cannot wait! I’ve always loved this song, and I think it works perfectly for the book where the town’s good girl, Emma, gets a little wild with tattooed, motorcycle-riding bad boy Ryan, don’t you? :)

Can’t Forget You – Risking it All book 3, August 29, 2017

Now here’s where things really get interesting, because I’m positive that my editor didn’t know about this when she asked me for song titles:

Yes, that’s Gloria Estefan and me. I’m a huge fan. I’ve met her many times, so many times that she knows me by name! And no, I’m not a stalker, she’s just super cool and likes to get to know her fans – promise :) And as it happens, I’m going to the Broadway show based on her life story this weekend too. So it is extra epic and awesome that I get to use one of her song titles for my new series! And Can’t Forget You seemed the perfect title for this second chance romance.

So there you have it. I will share pictures from my NJ/NY weekend trip next week (now just cross your fingers that mother nature behaves and doesn’t flood out my trip!) And if these release dates sound too far in the future…stay tuned, because I just might have a little something else coming your way in the meantime! :)
